반짝이는 물방울이 영글지 않은 매실을 타고 흐른다.
풋풋한 청매(靑梅)와 보드라운 매화 꽃잎의 뉘앙스가 초여름의 색을 그리며 향의 시작을 알린다.
뒤어어 올라오는 생강의 스파이시는 앞선 싱그러움과 대비되며 과한 인상을 주는 듯 하지만
곧 하나의 화음을 만들며 밀도있는 시트러스를 완성한다.
여기에 촉촉한 꿀, 그리고 섬세하게 터치된 카다몸의 이미지가 더해져 또 하나의 반전을 꾀한다.
이 모든 것을 아우르는 듯 스모키 노트가 더해진 점잖은 백단(白檀香, Sandalwood)이 묵직하게 가라앉는다.

조향사의 조향 노트 Perfumer's Comment

매실은 우리에게는 매실청으로 익숙한데,

맛은 이루 말할 수 없을 정도로 시큼하다.

그러나 향으로 표현하자면 풋풋한 내음과

단단한 과육에서 느껴지는 새콤함, 플럼 뉘앙스.

아주 맑은 흰 꽃이 연상되는 듯한 깨끗함이 퍼진다.

이렇듯 우리에게 익숙한 원물이지만

새롭게 환기하여 한국에서 활동하는 조향사의 정체성을 보여주는 작업.

모노룸의 첫 번째 시트러스로 적합한 원물은 '매실'이었다.
